About the UNIT/ Unit Overview Digital Product Engineering , Engineering Intelligence Location Pune Experience: Min 3 years Number of openings 1 What awaits you/ Job Profile Join the Engineering Intelligence unit at BMWTechWorks India and play a key role in the Masspackage and Weight Data Management project, supporting BMW, MINI and Rolls ? Royce vehicle programs. You will be responsible for carrying out masspackage calculations and maintaining weight data across vehicle projects, while helping drive IT development with AI integration to streamline processes and improve data quality. In this role you will collaborate with cross ? functional engineering teams, contribute to process improvements, and help develop smart tooling that supports faster, more reliable decision making in vehicle development. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of vehicle engineering and applied AI, where your technical know ? how and practical problem ? solving will have direct impact on product performance and program delivery. What should you bring along Master’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent). Solid understanding of vehicle technology and vehicle development processes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English for effective collaboration with global teams. Structured working style, high technical understanding, and experience handling confidential engineering data. Good practical knowledge of automotive mass/weight concepts and their role in vehicle development. Must have technical skill Master’s degree in Engineering/Industrial Engineering (as required education). Vehicle engineering / vehicle technology knowledge relevant to masspackage and weight management. Proven experience with weight calculation and masspackage processes for vehicle projects. Strong English communication skills (written and spoken). Ability to work with confidential project data and follow BMW data handling practices. Good to have Technical skills Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Teams. Experience with CATIA V5 and geometrical integration concepts. Familiarity with BMW-specific tools and data systems (e.g., Prisma). Experience in software/IT tool development, including structured development practices and use of platforms like GitHub. Exposure to AI integration or tooling (e.g., using GitHub Copilot or other developer assistance). Experience with process improvement activities in engineering contexts.
