Senior Specialist, Financial Planning & Analysis at BNY Mellon

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Support the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and multi-year planning processes.

To be successful in this role, we are seeking the following Strong analytical skills with experience in financial reporting and consolidation.

Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
Build, maintain, and enhance financial models used for forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic planning.
Assist in the preparation of presentations and materials for leadership reviews and management meetings.
Support ad hoc analysis, special projects, and strategic initiatives as needed.
Contribute to improving financial planning, reporting, and governance processes through automation and standardization where possible.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial data, analysis, and reporting outputs.

Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and support decision-making.
Identify financial risks and opportunities and help develop recommendations to improve performance.
Proficiency in Oracle or similar financial systems.
Excellent communication and storytelling abilities for presenting financial insights.
Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and manage competing priorities.
Experience with expense management, forecasting, and planning.
Proactive problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
