Job Description: TPF Developer (Travel Domain, AI-Enabled) Location: Bangalore Experience: 5-7 Years Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled TPF Developer with strong experience in the Travel and Airline Industry to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in IBM Transaction Processing Facility (TPF), TPFDF, TPFC, airline reservation systems, transaction processing applications, and mission-critical travel platforms . In addition to core TPF expertise, the candidate should be capable of leveraging AI-assisted development tools, Generative AI technologies, and intelligent automation solutions to improve productivity, code quality, troubleshooting efficiency, and system reliability. This role involves developing, enhancing, and supporting high-volume transaction processing applications that power global airline and travel operations. Key Responsibilities TPF Application Development Design, develop, enhance, and maintain TPF applications supporting airline and travel business operations. Develop high-performance transaction processing programs using: TPF TPFDF TPFC Assembler C/C++ Support critical systems related to: Reservations Ticketing Inventory Availability Passenger Services Check-In Loyalty Programs Ancillary Services Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Travel Domain Solution Delivery Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Architects to deliver travel industry solutions. Analyze airline reservation and transaction workflows. Understand and support integrations with: Sabre Airline Reservation Systems Inventory Management Systems Passenger Service Systems (PSS) Distribution Platforms Participate in application modernization initiatives involving legacy TPF systems. Application Support & Troubleshooting Perform production support activities. Troubleshoot and resolve complex TPF production issues. Conduct root cause analysis for performance and availability incidents. Analyze dumps, traces, logs, and transaction failures. Ensure optimal application performance and reliability. Software Engineering Best Practices Participate in: Code Reviews Design Reviews Technical Documentation Knowledge Sharing Sessions Follow SDLC, Agile, and DevOps best practices. Ensure maintainability, scalability, and performance of solutions. AI-Enabled Development Responsibilities AI-Assisted Software Engineering Utilize AI-powered coding assistants to accelerate development and troubleshooting activities. Leverage Generative AI tools for: Code generation Code modernization Technical documentation Unit test generation Root cause analysis Knowledge discovery Code optimization Improve engineering efficiency through AI-driven development workflows. Legacy Modernization Using AI Use AI tools to analyze and document legacy TPF applications. Assist migration and modernization initiatives involving: TPF to Cloud integrations TPF API Enablement Legacy Code Analysis Application Refactoring Support AI-assisted impact analysis and dependency mapping. Intelligent Operations Utilize AI tools for: Incident Analysis Performance Monitoring Log Intelligence Automated Troubleshooting Knowledge Management Participate in AI-driven operational excellence initiatives. Mandatory Skills TPF Technologies Strong hands-on experience with: IBM TPF (Transaction Processing Facility) TPFDF (TPF Data Facility) TPFC (TPF Control) Experience developing and supporting large-scale transaction processing applications. Programming Skills TPF Assembler C C++ JCL (Preferred) Strong debugging and performance analysis skills. Travel Domain Knowledge Hands-on experience in one or more of the following: Airline Reservations Ticketing Inventory & Availability Passenger Services Departure Control Systems Loyalty Programs Travel Distribution Experience with Sabre ecosystem is highly desirable.
