Senior Member, Tech Ops (DESIM) at D. E. Shaw India

We are looking to hire an Associate/Member, Tech Ops for the role of Operations in the DESIM team, based out of Hyderabad.

The ideal candidate should hold-

Responsibilities

• You will provide day-to-day technical operations support for production systems.
• You will take ownership of issues end-to-end and use excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate with engineering, infrastructure, business users, and external partners during critical incidents, including third-party data vendors.
• You will document issues, actions, and outcomes clearly for broader team awareness.
• You will also bring hands-on scripting ability, with familiarity using LLMs or AI-assisted tools, to automate repetitive manual tasks, reduce operational toil, and improve operational efficiency.

Required qualifications

•  A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field  3 to 5 years of experience in technical operations, production support, or L2/L3 application support for business-critical systems  Experience working in Linux/Unix environments  Hands-on experience with shell scripting  Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Java  Experience using source control tools such as Gi  Exposure to CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and automation tools is a plus  Solid understanding of incident management, root cause analysis, and production support best practices  Exceptional software debugging skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders

Preferred qualifications and skills
