Scrum Master (Insurance Domain) Position: Scrum Master

Happiest Minds is seeking an experienced Scrum Master with strong Insurance domain expertise and proven experience in Agile delivery of .NET application development, modernization, and digital transformation programs.

The ideal candidate will facilitate Agile teams, drive Scrum best practices, remove impediments, foster collaboration across business and technology stakeholders, and ensure successful delivery of complex insurance technology initiatives.

The Scrum Master will play a key role in enabling high-performing teams while driving continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
• Coach teams on Agile, Scrum, and Lean principles to improve delivery effectiveness.
• Act as a servant leader, helping teams self-organize and achieve sprint goals.
• Remove impediments and proactively resolve issues impacting team productivity.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Architects, Engineering Leads, and Delivery Managers.
• Track sprint progress, velocity, burn-down charts, and team performance metrics.
• Ensure transparency through Agile dashboards, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster an Agile mindset across teams.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and cross-functional coordination across multiple workstreams.
• Support release planning, roadmap execution, and delivery milestones.
• Coordinate with distributed teams across geographies to ensure alignment and collaboration.
• Promote quality engineering practices, including test automation, CI/CD, and DevOps adoption.
• Facilitate communication between business and technology teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements and priorities.
• Support governance reviews and provide regular status updates to customers and leadership teams.

Required qualifications

• 10-14 Years
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10-14 years of IT industry experience, with 4-6 years of experience as a Scrum Master leading Agile software development teams.
• Strong experience managing Agile teams delivering enterprise applications on Microsoft technology stacks, particularly .NET platforms.
• Proven experience in the Insurance domain, including one or more of the following areas: Policy Administration Claims Management Underwriting Billing & Payments Distribution Management Agency/Broker Portals Customer Self-Service Platforms Digital Insurance Transformation Programs Experience working directly with insurers, business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Experience managing multiple Agile teams and complex delivery programs.
• Exposure to cloud-based application development and modernization initiatives.
• Excellent facilitation, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.

Preferred qualifications and skills

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), SAFe Agilist, or equivalent Agile certifications.
• Experience working on large-scale Insurance digital transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to Azure Cloud and modern engineering practices.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams.
• Knowledge of DevOps, automation, and Agile performance metrics.
