Responsibilities

• Test Engineer : candidate needs to have expertise in industrial automation/DCS system-level testing experience with direct ABB 800xA product/field-level exposure.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements Understanding of Process: Basic idea about the Test Process Basic idea about the SDLC model Basic idea about the defect lifecycle Prepare test reports and maintain documentation of test results Conduct functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing Optional Competencies: Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, etc.) Knowledge of performance or security testing basics Key Competencies Attention to detail Critical thinking Time management Team collaboration Adaptability Working Conditions Comfortable in working in Agile/Scrum environments Close coordination with cross-functional teams Comfortable in chasing possible tight deadlines during release cycles

Required qualifications

• Technical Competencies: Basic architecture of 800xA, Deep understanding in at least one of the communication protocols as : e.g. Modbus, Profinet, Profibus, IAC , OPC UA, IEC61850 etc Understanding about the controller family and the technical artifacts Understand product requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases Field experience can be considered as an add-on.
