Fixed Income Desk - Team Manager- West at Kotak Securities

Responsibilities

  • Execute fixed income trades efficiently across a range of instruments, including government bonds, corporate bonds, money market instruments, and derivatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines during trade execution.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on yield curves, credit spreads, and market liquidity.
  • Provide Bond valuations before trading of bonds

Required qualifications

  • Skills/Expertise required
  • Experience of 2-4 years in fixed income dealing
  • Proven track record in executing fixed income bond trades.
  • Age criteria
  • Between 21 – 30 yrs

Preferred qualifications and skills

  • Prior experience in fixed income – corporate bond market space, is preferred.
  • Certifications in financial markets (e.g., CFA, FRM, or NISM certifications) are preferred.

Additional role details

  • Trade Execution and Market Interaction
  • Monitor live market activity, identify trading opportunities, and negotiate with brokers for best execution.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with market intermediaries and counterparties.
  • Should be well versed with making bond cash flows for g-sec, sdl, plain vanilla and/or structured bonds.
  • Market Research and Analysis
  • Stay updated on macroeconomic trends, interest rate movements, and fixed income market developments.
  • Ensuring inputting of trades in the system within prescribed timelines while coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Necessary approvals (for buy / sell down) to be taken from authorized person for facilitating smooth trades.

  • Team Player: Collaborative approach to working with the fund management team and other departments.
  • Education qualification
  • A degree in Financial markets/ commerce with min 60% marks
