Senior DevOps Engineer - Linux at Luxoft

Project description We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines .

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize source code repositories (Git), including branching and merge strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Groovy, and Python for build, deployment, and operational tasks.
  • Implement and support observability solutions using Prometheus, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), and OpenTelemetry.

Required qualifications

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of release processes, toolchains, and operational runbooks Skills Must have 9+ years of experience and hands-on expertise in DevOps Must have skills in these areas: Systems administration: RedHat Linux.

Preferred qualifications and skills

  • Nice to have Release Management approach/tools General Enterprise Technical Aptitude: networks, servers, load balancing, storage, etc Financial Domain knowledge Other Languages English: C2 Proficient Seniority Senior

Additional role details

  • You will be working with stakeholders across the UK and Poland and must to have hands-on expertise in Ansible and on-premises DevOps is essential .
  • Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools and best practices.
  • Configure and maintain build and dependency management using Maven (or similar tools).
  • Integrate and manage code quality and security scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube, SAST/DAST) as part of DevSecOps.
  • Containerize applications using Docker and manage container orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in build, deployment, and production environments.
  • Infrastructure-as-code: Ansible, Puppet, Terraform.
  • Container orchestration: Kubernetes experience.
  • Observability: ELK, Prometheus, ITRS Database: Oracle, Cassandra, Hazelcast, Postgres DevOps: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GIT, Maven, Docker, Rundeck.
  • Messaging: Kafka, Active MQ, iMFT, FileID.
  • Programming in either of one language: Python/ Perl/ Power shell/ Bash /Java/Angular JS/ Spring.
