Job Summary – Application Automation & Support Engineer to manage a critical project for one of our biggest clients in banking domain.

The Individual should be passionate about technology, experienced in developing and managing cutting edge technology applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation solutions to eliminate manual support activities and improve operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain scripts, tools, dashboards, and integrations using technologies such as Java, Python, or .NET.
• Support production applications, troubleshoot incidents, and assist with issue resolution.
• Analyze application logs, monitoring data, and system performance to identify problems and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with support, development, infrastructure, and cloud teams to deliver sustainable solutions.
• Participate in UK business-hour support and on-call rotations as required.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve service reliability, monitoring, and operational processes.
• Required Skills 5-9 years of IT experience.
• Strong hands-on development experience in Java, Python, or .NET.
• Experience with scripting and automation.
• Good knowledge of SQL, Unix/Linux, and troubleshooting application issues.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a production support environment, including UK shift timings and on-call support.
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and SRE practices.
• Certifications Needed: NA

Required qualifications

• 5-9Years Working Hours: UK Business Hours (including on-call support when required) Role Summary We are looking for a hands-on engineer with strong software development skills who can help drive automation and continuous improvement across the Production Support function.
• The ideal candidate should be capable of developing tools, scripts, dashboards, and operational automations while also supporting business-critical applications during UK working hours.

Preferred qualifications and skills

• Preferred Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Banking or Financial Services experience is an advantage.
