<div class="x_x_elementToProof" style="border:0px;font-size:11pt;line-height:20px;font-family:Aptos, 'Aptos_EmbeddedFont', 'Aptos_MSFontService', Calibri, Helvetica, sans-serif, serif, EmojiFont;margin:0px;padding:0px;vertical-align:baseline;color:rgb(0,0,0);">Head of Engineering & Application Delivery – General Insurance <br /><br />Location: Bengaluru (On-site) | Function: Technology | Level: Senior Leadership Role <br />Work Mode: #LI-Onsite<br /><br />Overview <br />Lead engineering and application delivery across Digit’s General Insurance technology portfolio, translating business priorities into scalable, resilient and high-quality solutions. <br />This hands-on leadership role owns architecture, engineering standards, program execution, release governance and delivery excellence, while partnering with Product, Business, Infrastructure, Security and Executive Leadership. <br /><br />Key Responsibilities <br />

• Own end-to-end engineering and application delivery—from architecture and design through build, release and production—for strategic business programs. <br />
• Set architecture direction for high-volume, scalable, resilient systems; review designs and resolve critical production, performance and scalability issues. <br />
• Build configuration-driven, reusable platforms that accelerate launches for products, partners and regulatory changes. <br />
• Drive predictable delivery through portfolio planning, milestone tracking, risk management, escalation and senior stakeholder communication. <br />
• Embed engineering excellence through CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, observability, SRE and measurable DORA outcomes. <br />
• Coordinate dependencies across Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Security and Business; ensure frequent, stable releases. <br />
• Ensure compliance with data security, IRDAI norms and internal controls. <br />
• Build and mentor high-performing engineering, delivery and program teams with clear accountability, lean structures and cost discipline. <br /><br />Experience & Capabilities <br />
• 15–18 years in software engineering or technology delivery, including senior leadership roles and a strong hands-on engineering foundation. <br />
• Mandatory: General Insurance domain experience and proven leadership of large-scale transformation programs. <br />
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering and delivery organizations of 100+ employees. <br />
• Strong depth in distributed systems, microservices, APIs and integrations, databases, AWS/Azure, DevOps and performance engineering. <br />

• Strong executive communication, stakeholder influence and people leadership, with a focus on ownership and outcomes. <br /> <br />Preferred Exposure <br />
• InsurTech, fintech or another regulated environment. <br />
• AI, machine learning or automation solutions such as document processing or fraud detection. <br />
• Core insurance platforms, including Guidewire, large vendor-led programs and multi-location delivery teams.</div>
