Platform Software Engineer 2 at Oracle

Design, develop, test, and support Java-based microservices and cloud-native applications.

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer with strong experience in Java, microservices, cloud technologies, Terraform, and Docker.

Build and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform and containerized deployments using Docker.
Investigate and resolve complex production, integration, and performance issues.
Develop and maintain automated tests using JUnit; working knowledge of Python and Go is required.
Use Codex or similar AI-assisted development tools effectively for coding, debugging, test creation, and documentation.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across time zones to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions.

Strong Java development and microservices experience.
Good understanding of cloud platforms, Docker, Terraform, REST APIs, and CI/CD practices.
Basic working knowledge of Python, Go, and JUnit.
Exceptional troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.
Ability to independently own deliverables, communicate technical issues clearly, and collaborate across time zones.
OCI certification or a good understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is an added advantage.
