Senior Software Engineer - Testing & Automation at AlgoShack

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web and API applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform API validation and automation using REST Assured .
• Collect, maintain, and upload verification evidence in JAMA .
• Investigate test failures, perform initial debugging, and provide detailed defect analysis.
• Collaborate with development teams to accelerate defect resolution.
• Track testing activities and deliverables in Rally and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate flexibility to undertake Manual Testing activities when required.

Required skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java , Selenium WebDriver , Serenity BDD , and Cucumber BDD .
• Hands-on experience in API automation testing using REST Assured .
• Experience in Formal Verification , System Readiness Testing , Dry Runs , and verification activities.
• Hands-on experience with Grafana K6, InfluxDB and reliability testing.
• Experience in maintaining verification evidence and traceability using JAMA .
• Strong debugging , troubleshooting , and root cause analysis skills.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software testing practices, including generating test cases, test data, and automation scripts using generative AI tools.

Preferred qualifications and skills

• Experience in CT domain.
• Exposure to Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines .
• Experience in automation framework development and maintenance .
