Responsibilities

• Lead Test Engineer will be responsible for validating the Industrial Automation control system including PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), DCS, IO and industrial communication modules - MODBUS TCP, PROFINET IO, Fire Safety Control Devices etc.
• Work in small, self-motivated teams collaborating with Product Owner to derive requirements for validation and verification plan.
• Design optimal Test Systems and Automated Test Fixtures for ensuring adequate Test coverage.
• Test automation for Industrial control system and IO modules.

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience with domain knowledge in Industrial automation and related products like Programmable controllers - PLCs, DCS, I/O modules.

• Highly motivated individual working independently across functional teams in driving the system test efforts.
• In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: As a Lead Test Engineer, you will use your industrial automation control system domain knowledge in validating our next generation Automation Controller product lines and IO modules.
• Will drive the improvement in productivity and implement options for reducing test coverage without compromising on quality.
• Break down problems and estimate time for test development tasks, story points etc.
• Be involved in all phases of system test development from product definition to production release.
• Develop Test Strategy and derive Test Requirements from Product & System specifications.
• Use your strong knowledge in PLC programming languages – Ladder, FBD, SFC and scripting.
• Ethernet based Industrial protocols - MODBUS TCP, PROFINET IO, EtherCAT, IEC61850, DNP3, IEC104 etc., Automation scripts in developing system level tests.
• Make technical presentations to peers and managers on the details of architecture, design, technical risks etc.
• Knowledge of product development lifecycle and its various stages.
• Exposure of working in waterfall & agile projects.
• Use excellent communication skills to interface with technical architects on complex technical issues.

• For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Industrial Communication protocols like MODBUS TCP, PROFINET, ETHERCAT, IEC61850 Client and Server, IEC104 Client/Server, DNP3 Master/Slave, HMI/SCADA etc.
• Programming skills using scripting languages like Python.
• Basic experience with programming language like C#, C++ used for Test Automation purpose.
