We are seeking a Senior System Software Test Engineer to join the Software Testing team supporting Rosemount Level Measurement software products.

The successful candidate will collaborate with global engineering teams to validate product functionality and drive continuous improvements across the software development lifecycle In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Plan and execute functional, non-functional, integration, and security testing activities for cloud-based software applications.

For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze product requirements and technical design documentation to identify testing scope and quality risks.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks and scripts.
• Execute manual and automated test cases, evaluate results, and communicate quality status to key stakeholders.
• Maintain test documentation, metrics, reports, and release readiness assessments.
• Collaborate closely with software developers, product owners, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful product delivery.

Preferred qualifications and skills

• That Set You Apart: Experience with cybersecurity-focused software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and secure testing techniques.
• Knowledge of IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards.
• Hands-on experience testing cloud-based digital twin applications.
• Exposure to industrial automation systems, Industrial IoT environments, or connected device ecosystems.
• Experience working within globally distributed Agile development teams.

• The role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, scalability, and security of native cloud-based software applications through comprehensive manual and automated testing practices.
• Validate device-to-cloud communication, data integrity, scalability, reliability, and security across distributed IoT ecosystems.
• Develop test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on business requirements and risk analysis.
• Identify, document, track, and support resolution of software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in automation code reviews and contribute to best practices that improve test maintainability and effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvements in testing methodologies, tools, processes, and quality standards.

• Experience testing web-based applications across functional and non-functional domains.
• Ability to develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and quality reporting processes.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright.
• Working knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java or C#.
• Knowledge of IoT communication technologies and protocols, including OPC UA, Modbus, and TCP.
• Experience using Azure DevOps for Agile project tracking, defect management, and test management.
• Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman and REST Assured.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Understanding of containerization technologies and concepts.
• Relevant professional experience in software testing, automation, and quality engineering.
