Test Automation Engineer

Core Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
• Create reliable and reusable automated test scripts using Python and pytest.
• Develop end-to-end UI automation using Playwright and validate REST APIs through automated test suites.
• Design and execute performance and load testing scripts using Locust.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ensure stable test execution.
• Analyze test failures, debug automation issues, and work closely with developers to resolve defects.
• Review, refactor, and improve existing automation code for better maintainability and scalability.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and coverage.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint-level quality planning, execution, and reporting.

Your Required Skills:

• 5–6 years of experience in software testing, with strong hands-on experience in test automation.
• Strong programming skills in Python with practical experience in pytest.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar UI automation tools for web application testing.
• Experience in API automation, REST API validation, and test data handling.
• Good understanding of performance testing concepts with experience in Locust or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of GitHub, branching strategies, pull request workflows, and GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and clean coding practices.
• Experience in debugging automation failures, analyzing logs, and identifying root causes.
