Legal Entity Controller - Associate at JP Morgan

Lead the month-end close process, including legal entity accounting and control, parent/child accounting, and equity pick-up and month end reporting (local and regulatory reporting) Conduct month-end analytical reviews to ensure the accuracy of financial statements and prepare various reports.

This role offers the opportunity to interact with multiple lines of business and internal stakeholders, providing a comprehensive view of legal entity controllership.

Responsibilities

• You will ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and contribute to regulatory reporting requirements.
• Investigate and resolve issues, responding to ad-hoc queries.
• Assist in intercompany reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation and monitor compliance with Legal Entity Control Standards.
• Participate in firmwide initiatives/projects and process improvement efforts.
• Maintain strong controls in close partnership with internal functions and in accordance with company policies and regulatory changes.
• Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: Chartered Accountant with 4+ years’ experience or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience with 6+years of experience Experience in accounting and control processes.
• Understanding of financial statement structures, US GAAP/IFRS or any local GAAP and Indian Regulatory reporting Experience with SAP, MS Office suite, and/or data and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Python).
