3D Modeler (Civil & Structural)

Job Title Civil & Structural 3D Modeler / Senior Designer Location Chennai , India Experience

• 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in industrial projects
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, FMCG, or Heavy Engineering projects preferred Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Civil & Structural 3D models using SP3D, Tekla Structures, software.
• Model RCC and structural steel components such as: o Equipment foundations o Pipe racks o Industrial buildings o Platforms, stairs, and handrails o Technological structures
• Prepare and extract: o General Arrangement (GA) drawings o RCC detail drawings o Structural steel detail drawings o Foundation drawings o Fabrication and construction drawings
• Generate 2D deliverables from 3D models using AutoCAD/MicroStation.
• Coordinate with Civil, Process, Piping, Mechanical, and E&I disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, modeling standards, and quality requirements.
• Support model reviews, clash checks, and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Assist construction and fabrication teams with design queries.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in SP3D and/or Tekla Structures.
• Working knowledge of: o AutoCAD o MicroStation/E3D/Revit (preferred)
• Good understanding of: o Structural steel detailing o RCC detailing o Industrial plant layouts o Construction drawings and standards
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple disciplines.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma in Civil Engineering (for Designer/Modeler role).
• Degree holders may also be considered based on experience.

Preferred Competencies

• Experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Knowledge of US/Indian engineering practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Exposure to MTO/BOQ generation from 3D models.
