Lead Platform Engineer at Netcore Cloud

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to own the architecture and evolution of our Platform — the distributed systems and AI/ML infrastructure that power every product surface.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role.

You will lead a team of engineers, set the technical direction across distributed systems and AI/ML platforms, and write production code for the most critical components yourself.

The platform you own runs at scale: high-throughput Java/Go microservices, large-scale data pipelines, and AI-powered systems serving billions of interactions daily.

What You'll Own

Architecture and roadmap for the Platform — distributed systems, data pipelines, AI/ML infrastructure, and scalability layers powering production SaaS products.

Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering team.

Run design reviews, raise the engineering bar on code quality, observability, and on-call practices, and partner with product and business on roadmap.

Hands-on design and development of high-throughput, fault-tolerant distributed services in Java, Go, and Python.

Drive adoption of AI/ML models and intelligent systems within the product architecture — collaborating with data and ML teams to deploy and scale AI-powered capabilities.

Define engineering standards, architectural patterns, and best practices across the platform.

Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with cross-functional teams.

Conduct system performance analysis and drive reliability improvements across the platform.

Must-Have Qualifications

5–7 years of experience in backend engineering and distributed systems design.

Strong programming expertise in Java / Go / Python.

Proven experience building large-scale, high-throughput distributed systems.

Deep understanding of scalability, reliability, and fault-tolerant architectures.

Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native platforms.

Strong understanding of system design, performance optimization, and scalability patterns.

Experience working with high-volume data processing systems.

Exposure to AI/ML platforms or machine learning model integration (preferred).

Experience deploying ML-powered services into production environments.

Knowledge of information retrieval systems is a plus.

Strong technical leadership and mentorship abilities.

Excellent problem-solving and system design thinking.
