Additional role details

• As a Staff Engineer on the Data and Audience Platform, you'll set technical direction for the systems that power both our data and our intelligence layers.
• Drive the architecture and design of large-scale data platform systems — pipelines, data lakes, and serving infrastructure that process billions of events.
• Partner with data science and ML teams to productionize models and enable AI/GenAI-powered capabilities on top of the platform.
• Set technical standards and best practices in data modeling, system design, reliability, and applied AI.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical strategy and decisions beyond your immediate team. 10+ years of experience in software engineering, building and maintaining scalable software systems.
• Extensive experience designing and shipping production-grade, large-scale data platforms.
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Scala, or Java) and deep knowledge of distributed data processing (e.g., Spark, Flink, Kafka).
• Hands-on experience with cloud data infrastructure (AWS/GCP, data lakes, warehouses).
• Practical experience enabling ML/AI in production - feature pipelines, model serving, or GenAI/LLM-based systems.
• A track record of technical leadership: setting direction, driving cross-team initiatives, and mentoring engineers.
• Experience with real-time/streaming systems at scale.
• Familiarity with MLOps tooling and modern AI/LLM frameworks.
• Background in media, streaming, or other high-volume consumer platforms.
