Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and integration services.

Summary of the Role The Senior Consultant will play an integral role in driving technology solutions in the banking, financial services, and insurance sectors, leveraging expertise in .NET/C#, REST APIs, and integration services to provide innovative solutions and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing integration solutions.
• Integrate internal applications with external systems and third-party platforms.
• Develop API clients, adapters, middleware, and reusable integration components.
• Implement both synchronous API and event-driven messaging integration patterns.
• Ensure reliable and consistent data flow across integrated systems.
• Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting mechanisms.
• Analyze integration requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in development, testing, and production environments.
• Follow best practices for API security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Required qualifications

• Strong experience in API development and integration using REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience in REST API design, development, and maintenance.
• Strong programming experience in .NET / C#.
• Experience developing API clients, adapters, middleware, and integration components.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and observability tools.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications and third-party systems.
• Good understanding of secure, scalable, and high-performance API development.

Preferred qualifications and skills

• Experience with Azure Integration Services, including Azure Service Bus and Azure API Management.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging.
• Knowledge of healthcare integrations or healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, X12, or NCPDP.
• EDI experience.
• Experience working with cloud-based integration solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
