• <p>The Product Accounting team at Stripe supports products across Stripe by providing guidance on accounting implications and enabling teams to make informed strategic decisions.
• <h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2>
• <p>Stripe is seeking an experienced accountant to join our world-class accounting team, focusing on products developed by our Bridge subsidiary.
• GAAP to identify accounting implications and customer impacts and advise cross-functional partners.
• You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate month-end close results for Bridge products, while also working on initiatives to create scalable accounting solutions.. </p>
• <h3>Responsibilities</h3>
• <ul>
• <li>Plan and perform monthly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, analytic reviews, and financial reporting deliverables for Bridge products</li>
• <li>Identify, recommend and implement scalable accounting processes to support global growth at Bridge</li>
• <li>Partner with our business and finance teams to understand new products, features, and contracts, and advise on accounting implications</li>
• <li>Partner with Internal Systems and Engineering teams to improve financial systems and automate accounting processes</li>
• <li>Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and design processes and controls for emerging business activities</li>
• <li>Understand data and system flows, analyzing financial results to identify and address anomalies.</li>

• <h2>Who you are</h2>
• The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.</p>
• <h3>Minimum requirements</h3>
• <li>7+ years of relevant public accounting and/or industry experience</li>
• <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field</li>
• <li>Professional accountancy qualification, such as CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA</li>
• <li>Working knowledge of US GAAP and experience with internal controls</li>
• <li>Experience with monthly or quarterly close processes, journal-entry preparation and posting, audits, regulatory reporting, financial-statement preparation, and accounting systems</li>
• <li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to both financial and non-financial audiences</li>
• <li>Ability to structure ambiguous work and build systems and automation </li>
• <li>Demonstrated experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders</li>

• <li>Experience in the technology or payments industry</li>
• <li>Experience accounting for cryptocurrencies, including stablecoins</li>
• <li>Experience with Oracle Suite</li>
• <li>Experience with data-querying and analysis tools, including SQL</li>
