Engineering Manager ETO - Panel & Switchboard

• Lead and manage a team of approximately 70 engineers, designers, technical leads, and engineering specialists supporting ETO and Application Engineering activities for Panelboard and Switchboard product lines.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
• Ensure seamless execution of customer orders while achieving On-Time Delivery (OTD), quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction objectives.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
• Drive engineering excellence through standardization, process discipline, and first-time-right engineering practices.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
• Drive significant productivity improvements through process automation, digital tools, workflow simplification, standardization, and waste elimination initiatives.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
• Lead implementation of engineering productivity programs leveraging Lean, Agile, DMAIC and Continuous Improvement methodologies.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
• Champion automation and digital transformation initiatives to improve engineering cycle time, quality, and operational efficiency.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
• Collaborate with external engineering service providers and Offshore Development Centers (ODCs) to develop and execute outsourcing strategies.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
• Establish scalable engineering delivery models that balance cost, quality, responsiveness, and technical capability.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
• Ensure strong governance, quality management, and performance monitoring of third-party engineering partners.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
• Collaborate closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Program Management, and Customer Support teams.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Technical Leadership</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">

Minimum 5 years as people manager/Team lead/Acting leader for any ETO / Application engineering / Requisition Engineering. </span></li></ul></div></div><div style="padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;"><div style="font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;"><h2 style="font-size: 1em; margin: 0px">Skills:</h2> </div><div><ul type="disc"><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Extensive knowledge of Engineer-to-Order (ETO), Customer Order Engineering, and Application Engineering processes for low-voltage power distribution products.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Deep understanding of Panelboards, Switchboards, MCCs, Switchgear, Bus Systems, and Power Distribution Solutions, including customer applications, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Strong knowledge of UL, ANSI, NEMA, NEC, and applicable electrical codes and standards governing panelboard and switchboard products.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Hands-on experience with Electrical and Mechanical Design Platforms including AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Inventor, Enovia, and related engineering systems.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Proven expertise in design automation, engineering workflow optimization, product configuration, and digital engineering transformation initiatives.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Strong understanding of electrical system architecture, protection schemes, control circuits, wiring practices, busbar design, and electromechanical integrations.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Knowledge of Eaton's Panelboard and Switchboard portfolio, competitor products, market trends, and smart power management solutions.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience applying Lean, Agile, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), DMAIC, and Continuous Improvement methodologies to improve engineering quality, productivity, and cycle time.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Green Belt or Black Belt certification with demonstrated success in driving process excellence and operational improvements.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, testing requirements, quality systems, and product lifecycle management within an ETO environment."</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Good communication skills in English (verbal and written) to communicate information effectively to customers, and technical staff in global environment, Influencing, Drive for Result</span></li></ul></div></div></div>
