Consultant - Mainframe

<p>Looking out for a Mainframe Developer.<br /></p><p><b><u>Required Skills</u></b>:<br />

• Analyze business and technical requirements and convert them into detailed solution designs.</p><p>
• Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and related technologies.</p><p>
• Create and optimize batch and online programs, jobs, procedures, database queries, and file-processing routines.</p><p>
• Perform unit testing, integration support, defect resolution, code reviews, and implementation validation.</p><p>
• Troubleshoot application failures, production incidents, data issues, and performance problems; complete root-cause analysis and corrective actions.</p><p>
• Support release planning, deployment, production verification, and post-implementation activities.</p><p>
• Follow organizational standards for coding, source control, documentation, security, change management, and software development lifecycle processes.</p><p>
• Collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams to estimate work, communicate risks, and deliver commitments on schedule.</p><p>
• Prepare and maintain technical specifications, program documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.</p><p>
• Identify opportunities for automation, performance improvement, technical-debt reduction, and modernization.</p>
