Consultant - Mainframe

<p>Looking for a Mainframe developer with overall understanding on US Healthcare.<br /><br />Primary Skill: COBOL, JCL, DB2<br />Secondary Skill: SQL<br /><br /><b><u>Qualification</u></b>:</p><p>

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience </p><p>
• 6 to 9 Years of Mainframes hand on experience</p><p>
• Should have work experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, REXX, FTP/SFTP, VSAM (Able to analyze the code, debug and work independently).</p><p>
• Should have knowledge in writing and executing basic SQL queries and resolving L1 batch failures</p><p>
• Work with stakeholders (should have communication skill to articulate things with customers/BA).</p><p>
• Analyze existing code for performance improvements</p><p>
• Good Analytical and problem solving skill and Good team player</p><p>
• Good interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills</p><p>
• US Healthcare IT, HIPAA PHI in Mainframe Batch Processing, Basic Provider domain knowledge</p><p>
• Understands PHI sensitivity in mainframe batch data<br /><br /><b><u>Roles and Responsibilities</u></b>:</p><p>
• Complex Code analysis and resolving support tickets </p><p>
• Escalates batch failures with business deadline impact immediately</p><p>
• Provide data fix and code fix.</p><p>
• Work on trend analysis to find permanent fixes and finding out optimization techniques </p><p>
• Fixing MF job abends.</p><p>
• Perform research and analysis to identify business problems and ability to breakdown complex business issues to come up with solutions through extensive data and system analysis.<br /><br /><b><u>Requirements</u></b>:<br /><b>Must Have</b>:</p><p>
• Good communication & Analytical skills</p><p>
• Good understanding and working experience on the SDLC, Experience in Agile/Scrum practices.</p><p>
• Ability to liaison between lines of business and the development team, while working with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborating with team.</p><p>
• Should have extensive hands on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, FTP/SFTP, VSAM</p><p>
• Ability to work in 3 pm - 12 AM shift<br /><br /><b>Good to Have</b>:</p><p>
• Exposure to US Clients would be an added advantage.</p>
