SENIOR EXECUTIVE - PLANT ENGINEERING

<span class="jobdescription"><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>External Job Description</b></H2> </div><div><p><strong>Daily Activities: </strong><br>Prioritizing jobs to be done in the General shift and allotting work to operators in the Plant engineering department. <br>Guiding / supporting technicians on day-to-day technical issues. <br>Arranging for the spares required during the shift to attend to breakdown problems and maintaining the spares inventory. <br>Meeting personnel of user departments to discuss and prepare appropriate action plans for problems of a repetitive nature and for jobs that require general shift manpower support. <br>Conducting inspection of engineering stores inward material. <br>Acknowledging breakdown intimations over phone from other departments and initiating work allotment through shift engineers or contract workmen. Responsible for conduct of LOTO procedure <br>Contacting and coordinating with Service contract persons coming under the “Annual Maintenance Contract” for certain machinery / equipment. <br>Floating inquiries, gathering quotations, and initiating PO <br>Brief description of knowledge and skills required. <br>Hands on experience of various type of monitoring &amp; measuring instrumentation. (Level, Flow, Temperature, Pressure, Weighing system) <br>Hands on experience of ABB 800xA DCS Platform &amp; PLC (AB, Siemens) system. Logic development, Software trouble shooting, Graphic development, Alarm, event, trend &amp; Report configuration. Logic development in FBD, ST, SFC, Ladder logic. Supporting new automation initiatives at Plant (e.g., local communication, Enterprise Asset Management, Efficiency improvement tools etc) <br>Basic understanding of communication topology or network. Checking the health of the communication topology (Profibus DP &amp; ProfNet) and taking necessary actions. <br>Well experienced in maintenance, troubleshooting &amp; calibration of field instruments. <br>Maintenance schedule preparation for all critical process control &amp; monitoring system (DCS, PLC &amp; Field Instrument) and ensure the proper and timely maintenance activities as per standard guidelines. <br>Spares Management: -Maintaining adequate inventory of spares and consumables towards Instrumentation asset. <br>Hands on experience in Honeywell Fire alarm system <br>Ensuring proper budgeting. Actual vs budget <br>People Management: -Direct &amp; guide team members; counsel workmen &amp; address grievances. <br>Review performance to build a motivated team &amp; a performance-oriented work culture. <br>Vendor Management: -Co-ordination with various instrumentation Vendors for procuring material, services &amp; alternate solution with reasonable cost. </p></div></div></div> </span>
