<p><strong>Role Summary</strong></p><p>Responsible for day-to-day Oracle database operations, ensuring stability, performance, and adherence to operational processes while building skills in automation and Avaloq tooling.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Manage Oracle database environments (Dev, Test, Prod) with focus on stability and availability</li><li>Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle Database (19c/21c)</li><li>Monitor database performance and perform SQL/query tuning</li><li>Execute backup and recovery operations using RMAN</li><li>Manage users, roles, security, and access controls</li><li>Monitor tablespaces, storage, and database health</li><li>Support high availability solutions (RAC, Data Guard) under guidance</li><li>Troubleshoot database issues and support incident resolution</li><li>Develop basic automation scripts (Shell / PL/SQL) for repetitive tasks</li><li>Follow operational processes (patching, change management, incident handling)</li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Solid experience in Oracle Database (19c/21c)</li><li>SQL and PL/SQL programming</li><li>RMAN backup and recovery</li><li>Basic understanding of RAC and Data Guard</li><li>Performance tuning fundamentals</li><li>Linux/Unix administration</li><li>Shell scripting basics</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred / Good to Have</strong></p><ul><li>Exposure to <strong>OCI / AWS cloud environments</strong></li><li>Awareness of <strong>Avaloq platform (or willingness to learn)</strong></li><li>Understanding of <strong>Ansible / Terraform basics</strong></li><li>Experience with monitoring tools</li></ul><p><strong>Key Expectations</strong></p><ul><li>Strong execution and reliability in operations</li><li>Willingness to learn Avaloq tooling and automation frameworks</li><li>Ability to work in structured, process-driven environments</li></ul>

<p><strong>Education</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field</li></ul><p><strong>Experience</strong></p><ul><li>5–8+ years of experience in Oracle database administration</li><li>Experience managing <strong>enterprise-scale database environments</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Core Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Strong expertise in Oracle Database (19c/21c)</li><li>Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills</li><li>Deep experience with RMAN backup and recovery</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Hands-on experience with <strong>OCI / AWS environments</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>Ansible / Terraform or similar IaC tools</strong></li><li>Exposure to <strong>Avaloq platform or banking domain systems</strong></li></ul>
