Responsibilities

• Ensure the technical competencies and reputation of the mechanical/packaging engineers are enhanced and developed to consistently meet the technical requirements of projects and studies.
• Support design and optimization of dairy processing systems including: Milk reception and storage, Pasteurization and sterilization.
• Support vendor evaluations, technical bid assessments, and FAT/SAT activities.
• Ensure proper integration of processing, utility, packaging and automation systems.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
• Support plant expansion, modernization, debottlenecking, and capacity enhancement projects.

Required qualifications

• Must have experience in Packaging Technology Must have hands on experience on designing tools e.g., AutoCAD, Solidworks/Inventors etc.

Additional role details

• JD for Packaging: Work on Packaging Equipment Layouts on AutoCAD.
• Preparing Mechanical Technical specifications for packaging equipment such as Primary, Secondary and End of line Packaging (Palletizers), and conveyors etc.
• Working with the designers to develop technical packaging equipment documents so that the client's needs and other industry standards are met to the highest level Work with stakeholders to execute the project on time.
• Evaluating technically and making recommendations for the purchase of various Packaging equipment items.
• Participates as a team member on various manufacturing engineering projects i.e. Changeovers in layout during new product launches, equipment & machine changes and surges in production.
• Should be able to execute FMCG/Chemical product Packaging projects.
• Available to travel overseas and Domestic clients (As per Requirement) Ability to understand technical documents e.g., RFQs, Scope of work documents.
• Specialty in Primary Packaging, secondary packaging including End-of-Line (EOL) packaging systems.
• Ability to manage client interaction and peer review on design issues during all project development phases.
• Installation Support documentation for packaging lines.
• Tracking and Improvement of OEE of the Packaging machines.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Capable to defining packing line requirement based on various SKUs.
• JD for Process: "Dairy Process Engineering Provide technical expertise for End to End integrated Dairy plants from milk reception to value-added dairy product manufacturing.
• Develop and review process flow diagrams (PFDs), process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), mass and energy balances.
• Homogenization Fermentation processes Cheese production Yogurt manufacturing Butter and cream processing Ice cream processing.
• Milk powder production.
• Whey processing and valorization Technology & Equipment Selection Recommend suitable process technologies and equipment based on product requirements, Food safety and business objectives.
• Review and approve technical specifications for dairy processing equipment.
• Project Engineering Support Participate in feasibility studies, concept design, FEED, detailed engineering, and project execution.
• Ensure compliance with project objectives related to cost, quality, safety, and schedule.
• Quality, Food Safety & Compliance Exposure to HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Dairy hygiene standards, regulatory requirements of local and international markets, Participate in risk assessments and food safety reviews.
• Knowledge Management & Training Develop technical standards, design guidelines, and best practices.
• Mentor engineering teams on dairy processing technologies and emerging industry trends.
