<ul> <li style="">Design, implement, and manage <b style="font-weight: 700">high-performance, scalable, and reliable databases</b> (RDBMS and NoSQL systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, ScyllaDB, Cassandra, BigQuery).</li> <li style=""><b style="font-weight: 700">Automate database deployments</b> using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform).</li> <li style="">Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data storage needs and <b style="font-weight: 700">optimize schema, queries, and indexes</b>.</li> <li style="">Implement <b style="font-weight: 700">monitoring and alerting</b> solutions to ensure database availability and performance (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).</li> <li style="">Ensure <b style="font-weight: 700">data security and compliance</b> by applying encryption, access controls, and auditing mechanisms.</li> <li style="">Participate in <b style="font-weight: 700">capacity planning, disaster recovery strategy,</b> and backup solutions.</li> <li style="">Proactively analyze database slowdowns and <b style="font-weight: 700">optimize query performance</b> and resource utilization.</li> <li style="">6-9 years of hands-on experience in <b style="font-weight: 700">Database /SQL developer/Engineering</b> roles.</li> <li style="">Proficiency in one or more of the following: <b style="font-weight: 700">PostgreSQL, MySQL, ScyllaDB, Cassandra, BigQuery, MongoDB, MS-Sql</b>.</li> <li style="">Strong understanding of <b style="font-weight: 700">data modeling, indexing strategies, replication, sharding,</b> and <b style="font-weight: 700">consistency models</b>.</li> <li style="">Experience with <b style="font-weight: 700">cloud platforms</b> (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and cloud-native database solutions.</li> <li style="">Knowledge of <b style="font-weight: 700">SQL performance tuning</b> and query optimization tools.</li> <li style="">Experience working with <b style="font-weight: 700">Kafka, Airflow, Dataflow, or other data pipeline orchestration tools</b> is a plus.</li> <li style="">Familiarity with <b style="font-weight: 700">DevOps practices</b>, shell scripting, and version control (Git).</li></ul> <h2>Skills and expertise</h2> <div style=""><b style="font-weight: 700">PostgreSQL, MySQL, ScyllaDB, Cassandra, BigQuery, MongoDB, MS-Sql, data modeling, indexing strategies, replication, sharding,</b> and <b style="font-weight: 700">consistency models, cloud platforms</b> (GCP, AWS, or Azure)</div>
