Test Lead

Job Purpose Will lead testing for mainframe-based healthcare claims applications built on COBOL, IMS and DB2. Job Description Understanding claims business requirements and identifying the test scenarios for mainframe applications. Creating, reviewing and executing test cases for claims processing. Preparing and managing claims test data in DB2 and IMS. Running and monitoring JCL batch jobs and validating the output, including claim adjudication and payment results. Debugging and troubleshooting issues with the development team during testing. Participating in sprint planning and grooming sessions to understand requirements and ensure good test coverage. Collaborating with the team and working towards achieving the release goals. Learning new tools, methodologies and claims domain updates, and adopting best practices. Duties and Responsibilities Work with the BA and development teams to understand claims requirements and define the test strategy and test plan. Lead test planning, estimation and execution for mainframe batch and online claims applications. Review test cases and claims test data prepared by the team. Validate claims data in DB2 and IMS databases and verify batch job results, including claim intake, adjudication and payment cycles. Report defects and track them to closure. Train and mentor the testing team members. Identify risks and recommend mitigations as needed.
