Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot .
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for integration with internal and external systems.
• Work with Java 11/17 or later versions and leverage modern Java features.
• Perform unit and integration testing using tools such as JUnit and Mockito .
• Work with Git-based source control and branching strategies.

Additional role details

• We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and SQL.
• The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications.
• Develop scalable and reusable Microservices and backend components.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented Java code.
• Develop applications using the Spring ecosystem , including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
• Design and implement database solutions using SQL and relational databases .
• Develop efficient database queries, stored procedures, and data-access components as required.
• Implement appropriate authentication and authorization mechanisms for APIs and applications.
• Integrate applications with messaging technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ, or similar platforms , where required.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and development best practices.
• Implement appropriate logging, exception handling, monitoring, and error-management mechanisms.
• Support application builds, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines .
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and other developers.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimations, and technical discussions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering , or a related discipline. 4+ years of hands-on Java development experience .
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST API development .
• Good understanding of OOP principles, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience developing scalable and high-performance backend applications.
• Experience with unit testing, debugging, and application troubleshooting.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within distributed development teams.
