Senior DevOps Engineer

Description We are seeking a highly skilled

DevOps / Platform Engineer with

5-8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, automation, and CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and

Microsoft Azure , along with hands-on experience in

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using

Terraform and OpenTofu . The role requires building scalable, secure, and resilient cloud platforms, implementing modern deployment pipelines using

GitHub Actions and Harness , and driving automation across the software delivery lifecycle.

The candidate should possess strong knowledge of containerization, Kubernetes, cloud security, observability, and DevOps best practices.

Roles & Responsibilities

+ Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across

GCP and Azure environments.

+ Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using

Terraform and OpenTofu for provisioning and configuration management.

+ Build and maintain enterprise-grade

CI/CD pipelines using Harness and GitHub Actions .

+ Automate application deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and operational workflows.

+ Implement GitOps and DevSecOps practices across the platform ecosystem.

+ Knowledge on deploy and manage of containerized applications using

Docker and Kubernetes (GKE/AKS) .

+ Design and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure platform reliability and performance.

+ Implement cloud security controls, IAM policies, secrets management, and compliance standards.

+ Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams to improve deployment efficiency and cloud adoption.

+ Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, pull request workflows, and release management using GitHub.

+ Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, and performance issues.

+ Integrate artifact management solutions such as

Jfrog

Artifactory and container registries.

+ Contribute to platform engineering initiatives, migrations, reusable IaC modules, and governance frameworks.

+ Continuously evaluate and adopt modern DevOps tools, automation techniques, and cloud-native technologies.

Required Skills

Cloud Platforms

+ Strong hands-on experience with

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .

+ Exposure to

Microsoft Azure cloud services.

+ Experience with services such as:

+ GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine

+ Cloud Storage, BigQuery

+ Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

+ Azure container App, Azure Storage, Virtual Machines, Azure Networking

+ IAM and cloud security services

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

+ Strong experience with

Terraform and

OpenTofu .

+ Ability to develop reusable modules, manage remote state, and implement infrastructure governance.

+ Experience with multi-environment deployments and infrastructure automation.

CI/CD & DevOps

+ Hands-on expertise with

Harness CI/CD and

GitHub Actions .

+ Experience designing deployment pipelines, release strategies, and automated quality gates.

+ Knowledge of GitOps principles and CI/CD best practices.

+ Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Jenkins is an advantage.

Containers & Orchestration

+ Strong experience with

Docker and

Kubernetes .

+ Knowledge with

GKE and/or

AKS .

Monitoring & Observability

+ Experience with any one:

+ Google Cloud Monitoring (Stackdriver)

+ Prometheus

+ Grafana

+ Logging and alerting platforms

+ Ability to create dashboards, alerts, and operational monitoring frameworks.

Security & Compliance

+ Knowledge of cloud security principles and DevSecOps practices.

+ Experience with IAM, RBAC, Secrets Management, Vulnerability Management, and Policy Enforcement.

+ Understanding of security compliance and governance frameworks.

Scripting & Automation

+ Strong scripting skills in:

+ Python (preferred)

+ Bash/Shell

+ PowerShell

Preferred Skills

+ Experience with

Harness CD, Feature Flags, and GitOps modules .

+ Exposure to service mesh technologies such as Istio.

+ Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization.

+ Experience with Artifact Registry, Artifactory, or Nexus.

+ Understanding of SRE principles, reliability engineering, and incident management.

Qualifications

+

5-8 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
