Job Summary Pod 7 — Ethernet/Modem — Lead Pod / Track Pod 7 — Ethernet/Modem Role Title Lead — Ethernet & Modem Interface Software Experience 8 – 10 years Primary Location Hyderabad, India (Transition phase); HCLTech Offshore Delivery Center thereafter Work Model Physical co-location at Hyderabad mandatory during Transition (Month 1–3) for knowledge transfer and hardware/lab access; delivery shifts to HCLTech's Offshore Delivery Center (ODC) from Shadow (Month 4–6) onward. Role Summary Own wired Ethernet and cellular modem interface sustenance — MAC/PHY drivers, modem AT/QMI interfaces, and related networking-stack defects.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage Ethernet MAC/PHY driver defects.
• Triage modem AT-command/QMI interface defects.
• Validate against carrier and networking certification test suites.
• Coordinate with the Connectivity pod on shared networking-stack dependencies.
• Support field escalations involving Ethernet link or modem interface instability and mentor the pod's Senior Engineer.

Must-Have Skills

• 8–10 years embedded networking or modem systems engineering.
• Ethernet driver stacks (MAC/PHY).
• Modem AT-command / QMI protocols.
• Networking stack debugging.

Good-to-Have Skills

• 5G modem AT/QMI stack experience beyond Ethernet.
• Carrier certification campaign experience.
• Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) exposure for industrial Ethernet.
