Key Responsibilities: Manage and administer IBM Informix databases in production, UAT, and dev environments. Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance. Monitor database health, performance, availability, and capacity. Perform database backup, restore, recovery, and disaster-recovery activities. Troubleshoot database performance and connectivity issues. Analyze and optimize SQL queries, indexes, stored procedures, and database performance. Perform database health checks and proactively identify potential issues. Manage database users, roles, privileges, and security configurations. Monitor database space, fragmentation, logs, sessions, locks, and transactions. Handle database incidents and provide timely resolution within defined SLA timelines. Support application teams in resolving database-related issues. Perform database changes required for application enhancements and releases. Support deployment activities and database scripts during application releases. Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and health-check reports. Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and client teams for production issues. Participate in scheduled maintenance, patching, and planned activities. Support AMC-related reporting and SLA compliance activities. Mandatory Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with IBM Informix Database . Experience in Informix Dynamic Server (IDS) / current IBM Informix versions. Good knowledge of Informix architecture and administration. Strong SQL and database troubleshooting skills. Experience with database backup and recovery. Experience with performance tuning and optimization. Knowledge of Informix utilities and administration tools. Experience in production database support. Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting. Experience with database monitoring and health-check activities. Good understanding of database security, users, roles, and privileges. Certification: Preferred: IBM Certified Database Administrator – Informix or equivalent IBM Informix certification . Candidate should provide valid certification details during the recruitment process.
