Senior Economic Analyst

We are looking for a senior economic analyst with strong data analysis skills who will focus on creating custom and actionable data insights. This individual will be a member of the team covering the European region and have the following

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Explore and analyze Mastercard’s large-scale datasets and third-party data using Py Spark, SQL, R, and Python to generate relevant insights for MEI
• Visualize insights using Tableau and HTML, and support the development of compelling narratives for tailored presentations
• Contribute to outlooks and blog-style research notes utilizing unique economic data
• Assist in creating content to represent Mastercard in customer forums and industry events positioning us as an industry leader with highly differentiated capabilities
• Work with the data scientists and consulting teams to explore alternative data sets and forecasting to push the boundaries in more traditional economics using big data
• Help drive the story creation for tailored presentations ________________________________________________________________________________________________ About you
• A trained data analyst or data scientist with 3-4 years of professional experience, or with a Master's degree or higher in data Science, economics or a related field, along with 2+ years of hands-on data analysis experience.
• Experience with SQL, R, Python, Tableau and other analytical tools
• Strong collaborator across teams within the institute and broader Mastercard
• Evidence of both orthodox and experimental approaches in economic thinking and application with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Manage complex projects and timelines effectively
