Shift-left engagement: Participate in design discussions and test planning to ensure early defect detection and adequate test coverage. Non-functional testing: Assist in the execution of performance, load, security, and resilience tests alongside the broader engineering team. Quality metrics: Track automation coverage, report test results, and log escaped defects to maintain visibility on application health. Knowledge of using Gen AI (like Claude, Chat GPT, Copilot, etc.) for test case design, script generation, and productivity enhancement. Mindset & Operating DNA: Quality focus: Takes end-to-end responsibility for the quality of the features they test, rather than just executing test cases. Automation bias: Instinctively looks to remove repetitive manual effort and writes automation to solve testing bottlenecks. Pragmatism: Prioritizes testing based on risk and user impact. Collaboration: Works smoothly with developers and product managers to resolve defects and improve overall product quality.
