About the UNIT/ Unit Overview Digital Product Engineering Location Pune Experience: 3 to 8 years Number of openings 1 What awaits you/ Job Profile To strengthen our team at BTI, we are looking for an experienced Simulation Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on thermoelectric and electrical simulations. You will independently manage the entire simulation process, from model preparation and calculation through to evaluation and technical documentation. A key part of the role is automating simulation workflows in order to assess a large number of variants quickly and reliably. Your Responsibilities • Independently perform thermoelectric and electrical simulations using Simcenter STAR-CCM+ and ANSYS • Develop, standardize, and automate simulation workflows to efficiently process numerous calculation variants • Prepare models, including the definition of contacts, boundary and initial conditions, and material properties • Perform physics-based evaluation, plausibility checks, and interpretation of simulation results • Prepare clear and meaningful technical reports and present the results • Coordinate with specialist departments and project partners in an international environment What should you bring along • A completed degree in engineering (e.g. electrical engineering or mechanical engineering), physics, or a comparable discipline • Sound theoretical understanding of the underlying physics, particularly thermoelectrics: coupled electrical-thermal phenomena, heat transfer, contact modeling, and material properties • Several years of practical experience with Simcenter STAR-CCM+ and ANSYS in the field of thermal and electrical simulation • Experience in automating simulations, for example using Java macros (STAR-CCM+) or Python scripting • A fast, structured, and independent way of working with a strong commitment to quality • Fluent written and spoken English Desirable • Experience in the automotive environment, for example with high-voltage components, battery systems, or power electronics • Experience in correlating simulation results with test data • English language skills • Simulation Engineer, Thermoelectric, Electrical Simulations, Simcenter STAR-CCM+, Ansys, Simulation Workflows, Model Preparation, Contacts, Boundary Conditions, Initial Conditions, Material Properties, Physics-based Evaluation, Plausibility Checks, Technical Reports, Physics, Heat Transfer, Contact Modeling, Automating Simulations, Java Macros, Python Scripting, English, German Must have technical skill • Experience with Simcenter STAR-CCM+ and ANSYS in the field of thermal and electrical simulation • Experience in automating simulations, for example using Java macros (STAR-CCM+) or Python scripting Good to have Technical skills • Basic knowledge of battery systems and their simulation requirements • Strong communication skills to effectively present technical findings • Knowledge of Ansa, Metapost
