The role is responsible for coordinating with Production, Procurement, Stores, Quality, Logistics, and Sales teams to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.<hr /><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><h3>Production Planning & Scheduling</h3><ul><li>Prepare monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on customer demand and business requirements.</li><li>Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and material resources.</li><li>Monitor production progress and take corrective actions to achieve production targets.</li><li>Coordinate with department heads to align production schedules with business objectives.</li></ul><h3>Material Planning & Inventory Control</h3><ul><li>Ensure timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and components.</li><li>Coordinate with Procurement for material planning and expediting critical materials.</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock levels.</li><li>Minimize inventory carrying costs while preventing production shortages.</li></ul><h3>Customer Demand & Delivery Management</h3><ul><li>Review customer forecasts and sales requirements.</li><li>Ensure on-time fulfillment of customer orders and dispatch plans.</li><li>Monitor adherence to delivery schedules and improve OTIF (On Time In Full) performance.</li></ul><h3>Cross-Functional Coordination</h3><ul><li>Liaise with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, SCM, and Logistics teams for smooth execution.</li><li>Lead daily production review meetings and plan adherence discussions.</li><li>Escalate critical issues affecting production or customer deliveries to Plant Head.</li></ul><h3>Performance Monitoring & Reporting</h3><ul><li>Track key PPC KPIs and generate MIS reports.</li><li>Analyze production variances and recommend improvement actions.</li><li>Prepare capacity utilization and productivity reports for management review.</li></ul><h3>Process Improvement</h3><ul><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning and scheduling processes.</li><li>Improve production efficiency and reduce lead time.</li><li>Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and ERP best practices.</li></ul><h3>Team Management</h3><ul><li>Lead and develop PPC team members.</li><li>Define KRAs, conduct performance reviews, and identify training needs.</li><li>Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.</li></ul><hr /><h2>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)</h2><ul><li>Production Plan Adherence (%)</li><li>On-Time Delivery (OTD)</li><li>Inventory Turnover Ratio</li><li>Customer Schedule Adherence</li><li>Material Availability Rate</li><li>Capacity Utilization</li><li>Production Lead Time Reduction</li><li>Inventory Accuracy</li><li>OTIF Performance</li></ul><hr /><h2>Education & Experience</h2><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Production, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.</li><li>MBA/PGDM in Operations/Supply Chain preferred.</li><li>14-18 years of experience in PPC, Production Planning, or Supply Chain Management.</li><li>Experience in Manufacturing/Automotive/EV/Electronics industry preferred.</li></ul><hr /><h2>Required Skills</h2><ul><li>Production Planning & Control</li><li>MRP & Capacity Planning</li><li>Inventory Management</li><li>ERP/SAP Knowledge</li><li>Demand Forecasting</li><li>Supply Chain Coordination</li><li>Advanced Excel & MIS Reporting</li><li>Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills</li><li>Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management</li><li>Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement</li></ul><hr /><h2>Authority Level</h2><ul><li>Production planning and scheduling approval.</li><li>Inventory and material planning recommendations.</li><li>Escalation of capacity constraints and delivery risks to Plant Head.</li><li>Coordination with cross-functional stakeholders for production execution.</li></ul> </div>
