Director/ Senior Director - Category (PnL / Product Lead)

We are looking for a highly analytical and strategic Director/ Senior Director- Category to lead our gold loan product vertical. This role is critical in driving product strategy, improving customer experience, managing cross-functional initiatives, and supporting business growth through data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with leadership, product, technology, operations, risk, and marketing teams to shape the future of gold loan offerings and optimize the overall customer journey. Key

RESPONSIBILITIES

Category Ownership: Lead the gold loan product category—owning P&L, customer journey, funnel optimization, and product innovations. Pricing & product strategy : Conducting experiments, identifying pricing and new product features or business strategy levers/initiatives to increase conversion and margins Business Analysis: Use quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, assess performance, and recommend actionable insights. Build dashboards, reports, and visualization tools using platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or similar to track KPIs and present insights to leadership. Program Management: Drive cross-functional projects with product, tech and sales teams, ensuring timely delivery of strategic initiatives. Market Intelligence: Conduct competitive benchmarking, customer research, and regulatory analysis to stay ahead in the gold loan market. Customer-Centric Solutions: Constantly optimize the user experience by mapping the journey, identifying friction points, and recommending improvements. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment across functions. Requirements: 6-12 years of relevant experience in product management, category management/Pn L ownership. Proven experience in a fintech, BFSI , or lending environment. Strong academic background from a Tier 1 college (B.Tech or MBA) Strong background in business analysis, data visualization, and business intelligence tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of financial services regulations related to lending. Experience in agile project management or product lifecycle development.
