JIT Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities Run daily JIT ordering against live customer demand, keeping fill rate high and TAT low Manage pharma vendor, distributor and wholesaler relationships for supply, rates and fast processing Define and follow the purchase and return policy (expiry, damaged, short and wrong supply, credit notes, settlements) Own ordering SLAs from vendor order placement to pickup and dispatch Lead, train and review the JIT purchase team, including targets and shift planning Manage riders (allocation, availability, productivity, escalations) Plan and optimise routes between vendors, hubs and customers Prepare Excel and MIS reports on ordering, fill rate, SLA, vendors, returns and purchase cost Plan manpower and shifts, including peak demand Coordinate with inventory, customer support, quality and finance on stock-outs, substitutions and discrepancies Skills Required Pharma vendor and distributor market knowledge JIT ordering, purchase cycles and return processes Excel (lookups, pivots, formulas) and MIS reporting Rider/last-mile management and route planning Negotiation, communication, problem-solving Quick decisions under pressure and tight SLAs KPIs Fill rate and ordering SLA adherence Vendor TAT and performance scores Return and credit note TAT Purchase cost and margin targets Rider productivity and delivery TAT Team performance and attrition
