The Batch Services team builds and maintains highly secure and reliable batch processing that orchestrates mainframe and distributed workloads across Schwab’s hundreds of applications. This role contributes to the Analytical Data Platform Engineering (ADPE) organization which owns the strategy, implementation, delivery, and support of the data warehouse and emerging data platforms managing over 4 petabytes of data.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px;"></p><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></p><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Development & Implementation</strong></span></p><ul><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Design, develop, and maintain Control-M jobs, folders, and scheduling solutions across mainframe and distributed platforms.</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Build and support secure, reliable batch workflows including dependencies, calendars, and file transfers (NDM, FTP, SFTP, PGP/FTP, NFS).</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Automate repetitive batch and operational tasks using Python and shell scripting.</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Write clean, well-tested code and Control-M configurations following team standards and best practices.</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Apply AI and Generative AI tools to accelerate development, automate routine tasks, and improve batch operations and observability.</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Quality & Operations</strong></span></p><ul><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Provide Level 2 support for batch execution, problem determination, and service restoration.</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Follow established CI/CD practices for code and configuration deployment and release management.</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Troubleshoot and debug batch and application issues, providing timely resolutions.</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Adhere to Schwab’s security, privacy, and regulatory standards in all development work.</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Support production deployments and participate in on-call rotation as needed.</span></li></ul><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Required Experience</strong></span></p><ul><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Control-M administration and development (mandatory).</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience with enterprise batch scheduling across mainframe and distributed (UNIX/LINUX/Windows) environments.</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Working knowledge of JES/SDSF, ISPF, JCL, CA-ESP, CA11, and file transfer protocols (NDM, FTP, SFTP, PGP/FTP, NFS).</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies.</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Strong proficiency in SQL and understanding of database infrastructure (Oracle, MS-SQL Server, PostgreSQL) (mandatory).</span></li></ul><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif;
