Role Summary Technical position owning platform administration across Snowflake, AWS, and enterprise data tools (Tableau, Alation). Focus: designing and automating RBAC/access provisioning, building governance infrastructure, implementing compliance controls, and managing cost optimization. Reports to Manager of Data Platform Governance. Key Responsibilities Design and enforce Snowflake security frameworks (RBAC, network policies, dynamic data masking, authentication) Architect cost optimization strategies (warehouse sizing, resource monitors, query tagging, reserved capacity) Own data masking, compliance controls, row-level access policies, and audit trail management Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for governance controls across environments Design automated access request/approval/certification workflows via CI/CD pipelines Develop governance monitoring pipelines for access anomalies and policy violations Manage AWS account structure, IAM roles, and cross-account access Administer Tableau and Alation (permissions, access, metadata governance) Required Skills Snowflake administration and architecture (RBAC, DDM, network policies, authentication) AWS account management and IAM Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) Access governance and identity management Tableau and/or Alation administration CI/CD pipeline development SQL and scripting for automation Technical communication across governance and engineering teams
