We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer - Java with Spring Boot to lead backend engineering for resilient, cloud-ready services at scale. You will build Java 21 microservices with Quarkus and Spring, strengthen security and CI/CD, and guide the team through technical decisions—apply now. Responsibilities Develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot Design and implement microservices architectures running on cloud platforms Create and integrate RESTful APIs that connect backend services to frontend applications Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that scale and stay maintainable Conduct code reviews and provide technical leadership for engineering team members Drive architectural decisions aligned with quality, security, reliability and compliance standards Follow Agile and DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle Own CI/CD pipelines and support continuous delivery processes Diagnose and fix complex technical problems across the application stack Use containerization and orchestration tools to deploy and manage services Requirements Proven professional experience (5+ years) in software design and development with Java 21, Quarkus and Java/JEE Deep expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Security and JUnit testing Solid understanding of relational databases, including Oracle, Sybase and PL/SQL Strong background in microservices architecture with exposure to Azure Cloud and Serverless Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes concepts such as pods, containers, services and Istio Experience working with Docker and Redis in production environments Demonstrated ability to create RESTful APIs and integrate backend with frontend layers Familiarity with Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Agile ways of working Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a closely related discipline Nice to have Understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and React (including Hooks) for UI work Working knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript Exposure to performance tuning and DevOps Ability to implement UX designs into responsive, scalable and maintainable UI solutions using common standards and patterns
