Lead AI Engineer - Gen AI

Notice period : Immediate joiner Job Purpose We are looking for an experienced AI Lead / Senior AI Engineer with 7+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, solution design, and hands-on development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem and the ability to identify, design, and develop AI/ML solutions aligned with enterprise application architecture and data strategy. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, application teams, data engineers, architects, and technology leadership to identify high-value AI use cases and translate them into scalable, production-read solutions. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring strong solutioning, development, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Job Description Analyze the existing application ecosystem, business processes, and data landscape to identify an recommend relevant AI/ML use cases. Work with business and technology stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into practical AI/ML solutions. Lead the solutioning, architecture, development, and implementation of AI/ML and Generative AI solutions. Design end-to-end AI solutions leveraging the Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem. Develop hands-on POCs and production-grade AI applications to validate and demonstrate proposed solutions. Design and implement Generative AI, RAG, LLM, and AI-agent-based solutions based on business requirements. Evaluate appropriate AI models, frameworks, Azure services, data sources, and integration patterns for each use case. Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to leverage enterprise data platforms and data pipelines for AI/ML solutions. Integrate AI capabilities with existing enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and data platforms. Provide technical leadership and guidance to AI engineers and development teams. Review solution designs, technical implementations, code, and AI/ML architecture to ensure quality and scalability. Conduct technical feasibility assessments and define appropriate approaches for AI use cases. Develop prototypes and POCs to evaluate emerging AI technologies and demonstrate business value. Establish best practices around prompt engineering, model selection, RAG, evaluation, security, and responsible AI. Troubleshoot technical challenges related to AI models, data, integrations, application architecture, and deployment. Work within Agile delivery teams and contribute to sprint planning, technical discussions, backlog refinement, and solution reviews. Communicate technical concepts and AI solution recommendations clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Adhere to the Information Security Management policies and procedures. Job Specification 7+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering and/or data science. Proven experience delivering AI/ML solutions from concept/POC through production. Strong hands-on development experience with Python. Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure-based application/data platforms. Demonstrated experience in AI/ML and Generative AI solutioning. Experience working with enterprise application and data ecosystems. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and senior leadership. Ability to work independently and take ownership of AI solution delivery. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed/onshore-offshore teams. Experience with CI/CD and source control tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, or Bitbucket.
