Collected role description

Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and finished/semi-finished parts from suppliers Perform dimensional inspection using instruments such as Vernier calliper, micrometre, height gauge, bore gauge, gauges, and other measuring equipment Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and inspection standards Verify material certificates, inspection reports, and other supplier quality documents Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections as applicable Identify and document supplier-related quality issues and non-conformities Prepare inspection reports, rejection reports, and quality records Raise NCRs for non-conforming materials/components and follow up for corrective action Support supplier root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Engineering, and suppliers regarding quality issues Monitor supplier quality performance and support supplier improvement activities Key Skills & Competencies Good knowledge of engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances Basic understanding of GD&T Knowledge of 7 QC tools and basic quality concepts Knowledge of inspection and measuring instruments Understanding of NCR, CAPA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and corrective action Computer skills, particularly MS Excel and documentation
