Collected role description

Lead day to day operations of SPDT and MCG, SPM and SPS - based optical polishing/ grinding systems Track cycle time, process yield and initiate improvements and troubleshooting for deviations Precision Job Execution - Ensure accurate machining and surface finishing of optical components to nanometric tolerance Program & Setup Management - Review/modify CNC programs, machine setup, tool offsets and parameter tuning as per part requirements Process Quality Control - Oversee in-process inspection for surface form, finish and dimensional tolerances using interferometers, profilometers, etc. Tool & Fixture Planning: Coordinate tool selection, diamond insert management and fixture readiness in collaboration with design and stores Team Supervision - Manage operators, ensure shift discipline, assign jobs and provide training on machine handling and safety Leader CNC shop - SPDT - SPS - MCG/SPM, estimation, NPD and Production Yield & Productivity Monitoring - Track cycle time, process yield and scrap, initiate improvements and troubleshooting for deviations Reporting & Documentation - Maintain machine logs, job cards, maintenance schedules and contribute to SPC and qualification documentation Key Skills & Competencies: Knowledge & experience in SPDT Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving ability AUTOCAD, SPDT preferable, SPS Software Good Computer knowledge in MS Office & PPT Proficiency in MS Excel, costing templates, and ERP system Optics process Plan, SPDT, SPS, Grinding, COATING preferable
