Job Summary Pod 7 — Ethernet/Modem — Senior Engineer Pod / Track Pod 7 — Ethernet/Modem Role Title Senior Engineer — Ethernet & Modem Interface Software Experience 5 – 8 years Primary Location Hyderabad, India (Transition phase); HCLTech Offshore Delivery Center thereafter Work Model Physical co-location at Hyderabad mandatory during Transition (Month 1–3) for knowledge transfer and hardware/lab access; delivery shifts to HCLTech's Offshore Delivery Center (ODC) from Shadow (Month 4–6) onward. Role Summary Execute Ethernet and modem interface sustenance tasks, reporting to the Pod Lead. Key Responsibilities • Implement fixes for Ethernet MAC/PHY driver defects. • Implement fixes for modem AT-command/QMI interface defects. • Execute carrier and networking certification validation. • Support field escalations involving Ethernet link or modem interface instability. Must-Have Skills • 5–8 years embedded networking or modem systems engineering. • Ethernet driver stacks (MAC/PHY). • Modem AT-command / QMI protocols. • Networking stack debugging. Good-to-Have Skills • 5G modem AT/QMI stack experience beyond Ethernet. • Carrier certification campaign experience. • Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) exposure for industrial Ethernet.
