Collected role description
Lenskart is a design-led technology company reimagining how the world sees. Job Overview We're seeking a Merchandising Growth Leader to join Lenskart. This is a backfill role that has been open for some time, and we're eager to find the right candidate to drive growth through strategic merchandising initiatives. Team Culture & What Makes This Role Unique This role is a unique blend of strategy, operations, and business leadership. You'll leverage strategic thinking and translate it into real-time problem solving for the business. The opportunities are wide open—you're not limited to merchandising supply chain practices alone. Any initiative that can facilitate consumer demand growth is on the table, making it a dynamic and expansive environment to innovate and lead. Key Responsibilities Drive company growth by incorporating and understanding customer-level insights at every sales touchpoint. Build these insights into the merchandising supply chain ecosystem, including: - Demand planning - Supply planning - Vendor planning - Capacity planning - Store assortment planning for each individual location Create a seamless ecosystem where supply and demand are in sync, with demand planning driven from consumer needs backward. Ensure this consumer-backward approach is applied across all sales channels, including: - In-store - Online - Marketplace - Home try-on Build an end-to-end infrastructure for a seamless merchandising supply chain that makes the design-to-shelf process highly efficient, reduces lead times, and ensures optimal product availability and inventory management. Implement intelligent systems inspired by best practices from leading brands like Zara and Uniqlo. Must-Have Requirements Experience: You have 10+ years of experience in high-growth environments. You’ve managed global teams and know how to navigate the chaos of a company that moves at light speed. Expertise in building end-to-end systems, ideally within supply chain or merchandising processes, with strong problem-solving skills. Leadership: You don't just "manage" a department; you build a culture. You have a track record of identifying raw talent, mentoring future leaders, and keeping a high-performance team motivated in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment. Design-Obsessed: You likely have a background in design or creative direction. You understand materials, ergonomics, and why a certain frame shape works (or doesn't). Data-Fluent: You don’t need a dashboard to tell you what's happening. You’re comfortable diving into the numbers yourself to find the "why" behind the sales. A Systems Thinker: You don't just fix a problem once; you build a system so it never happens again. You are always thinking about how to make things 10x more efficient. Growth Mindset: You’re never "done." You’re constantly looking for better ways to do things, whether that’s through new tech, better math, or smarter design. Nice-to-Have Skills Ability to leverage new-age technology for innovative problem solving. Deep understanding of how to grow consumer demand and maintain close contact with consumers. Consultancy experience in driving consumer growth through the right market drivers. Location & Travel Based in the Delhi NCR office. Involves travel to various geographies to understand consumer and business requirements.
