The role involves designing and developing Linux-based gateway and controller platforms, integrating industry-standard communication protocols, implementing secure connectivity, and enabling scalable building automation solutions.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Design and develop embedded software for Linux-based HVAC controllers and gateway devices.</li><li>Implement and integrate communication protocols such as BACnet MS/TP & IP, Modbus RTU/TCP, MQTT, REST APIs, TCP/UDP, and RS-485.</li><li>Develop D-Bus APIs, IPC services, and device management frameworks.</li><li>Build gateway functionalities including device onboarding, remote monitoring, power management, and load control features.</li><li>Implement secure communication mechanisms using TLS, certificates, and credential management.</li><li>Develop and maintain software build environments using Yocto, Make, and CMake.</li><li>Configure and manage Linux services using systemd and deployment frameworks.</li><li>Debug protocol stacks, device interfaces, and system-level software issues.</li><li>Collaborate with hardware, cloud, testing, and product teams to deliver high-quality products.</li><li>Participate in code reviews, system integration, and performance optimization activities.</li></ul><h3>Required Skills</h3><ul><li>Strong hands-on experience in Embedded C and C++ programming.</li><li>Expertise in Embedded Linux development, including kernel concepts, device drivers, system programming, and device management.</li><li>Experience with Yocto Linux, BSP customization, recipe development, and hardware adaptation.</li><li>Knowledge of communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, and Wi-Fi.</li><li>Experience with BACnet MS/TP & IP, Modbus RTU/TCP, and industrial communication protocols.</li><li>Hands-on experience with JSON, XML, YAML, and SQLite.</li><li>Good understanding of IPC mechanisms, D-Bus services, networking concepts, and Linux system services.</li><li>Experience in debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems and communication protocols.</li></ul><h3>Preferred Skills</h3><ul><li>Domain experience in HVAC, Building Automation Systems (BAS), or Building Management Systems (BMS).</li><li>Knowledge of secure communication frameworks, TLS/SSL, certificates, and authentication mechanisms.</li><li>Familiarity with cloud connectivity technologies and IoT gateway development.</li><li>Experience with remote device management and monitoring solutions.</li></ul><h3>Educational Qualification</h3><ul><li>B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science, or related disciplines.</li></ul></div>
