Project description We're a Technology team of over 1,100 engineers developing applications that support pricing, quoting, execution, and lifecycle processing for the business. The Eteam develops and supports latency-sensitive electronic trading applications that enable market making and automated quoting across global markets. Working within the client's agile operating model, you'll collaborate with global teams to deliver high-performance, scalable, and resilient front-office trading solutions while driving innovation across the trading technology stack. We're looking for a passionate Senior Java Developer who: • Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability • Enjoys solving complex trading and performance-related challenges • Thrives in fast-paced, business-facing environments • Can effectively partner with other stakeholders • Shows leadership through mentoring and technical guidance • Embraces innovation, continuous improvement, and AI-assisted software development • Is comfortable operating in globally distributed Agile teams Responsibilities Design, develop, and support scalable, high-performance applications for Investment Banking risk and deal management platforms. Collaborate with global business and technology teams to deliver strategic initiatives and business-critical solutions. Build production-grade software using Agile methodologies, automated testing, and CI/CD practices. Drive application ownership, including release management, production support, and continuous improvement of system reliability and performance. Work closely with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and deliver solutions at scale. Skills Must have 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience, with a strong focus on server-side and performance-critical applications. Strong expertise in multithreading, concurrency, and low-latency/high-throughput systems. Solid experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, JMS, IBM MQ, or similar. Proficiency in Unix/Linux and scripting (Python, Shell, or equivalent). Experience with Agile development, TDD, CI/CD, and source control platforms such as Git/GitLab/GitHub. Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred). Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments. Strong understanding of non-functional requirements, including scalability, performance, resilience, observability, and maintainability. Nice to have Experience in Investment Banking. Exposure to risk management, trade processing, or deal management platforms. Front-end UI tech stack. Other Languages English: B2 Upper Intermediate Seniority Senior
