Manager - Sourcing 1.1 Position Overview The Commercial Controller is responsible for end-to-end contract management, commercial negotiations, and governance oversight across the procurement and contract’s function. The role acts as the final control point for contract finalisation, ensuring all commercial arrangements are compliant, risk-assessed, and aligned to approved delegation of authority before execution. 1.2 Key Responsibilities Lead and manage commercial negotiations with vendors and service providers to secure optimal commercial terms, pricing, and risk allocation. Own the contract lifecycle — drafting, review, negotiation, approval routing, and final execution/finalisation of contracts. Ensure all contracts and commercial decisions comply with governance frameworks, delegation of authority (DOA), and internal approval processes. Review and validate RFP/RFQ outputs and costing prepared by buyers before commercial finalisation. Ensure contract terms, KPIs, SLAs, and penalty/incentive clauses are clearly defined and enforceable. Manage vendor relationship escalations, commercial disputes, and contract variations/amendments. Maintain the contracts register, ensuring renewal, expiry, and compliance milestones are tracked and actioned proactively. Provide governance oversight of the buying team, ensuring process discipline in SAP/Ariba workflows. Ensure audit-readiness of all contract files and commercial approvals. Report on contract status, cost savings, and commercial risk to management on a periodic basis.
